Obama's Choice For Secretary Of State Of The United States Susan Rice Withdraws Her Name From Contention

President Obama's friend, Susan Rice, has withdrawn her name from contention for Secretary of State of the United States. Current Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, is due to vacate the post shortly and Obama sought Rice as a potential replacement.

However, her nomination was met with significant opposition from rival Republicans, who did not feel comfortable with her response to the Benghazi terrorists attacks in Libya that left a U.S. Ambassador dead, under tragic circumstances. Obama is said to be upset with the turn of events.
