World AIDS Day 2010

Originally published December 1. 2010 on the Judiciary Report

Today is world AIDS day. World governments are imploring people to get tested, as a means of prolonging their lives, in the event they discover they are in fact infected. Millions of people have died from AIDS, while millions live with the disease everyday. People of all ages, including children, are struggling with HIV and AIDS.

It is imperative something be done as soon as possible, to stem the loss of life. The government has not been supportive of research work that has shown great promise. They've opted to use the disease as a political tool for brownie points in Congress, while going with the same old routine, in support of pharmaceutical giants more concerned with profits than prolonging life.
