Barack Obama
In what is undoubtedly the worst month of Barack Obama's political career, thus far, his critics are closing in on him, labeling the Commander-in-Chief a lame duck president, destined for defeat in the 2012 elections. Let's discuss Obama's name. No, not the fact it is foreign, as many insist he is as well. The damage that has been done to it, in what he inexplicably allowed, via politically unsavvy and costly initiatives that added five trillion dollars to the national deficit.
Foresight has been lacking in the Obama Administration and the President also rubberstamped very risky plans that have not panned out. Many of his key advisors have left, leaving a severely broken presidency to fade away. His name is destroyed.
If I were a head of state, there is absolutely no way that I would let anyone talk me into undertaking fiscally unsound initiatives, poorly planned political programs, corrupt government contracts and haphazard enforcement of national laws. Why? Not only is it unethical, at the end of the day, one's name and legacy would be gone.
Why Obama let certain people in Washington talk him into the things they have, which have now firmly landed him in serious hot water with voters, is astounding. No one is worth one's name going up in smoke. A good name is worth more than gold, as if one is unhappy and disgraced, money can do nothing to remedy that and history doesn't allow rewrites.
