Lebron James Not A Hurricanes Fan Yet

Lebron James

New Miami Heat signing, Lebron James, has become a Miami resident, but is not yet a Hurricanes fan, which is the local university's football team (University of Miami).

Warning to Lebron: don't play with Miami folks regarding the Hurricanes. Case in point - my godbrother got into FSU (Florida State University) and on the football team (The Seminoles), so the whole family bought Seminoles jerseys, caps, t-shirts, key rings - you name it. Stupid here began wearing FSU gear around Miami. Who told me to do that.

A worker at an office I went to on business, took one look at the Seminoles shirt and before I even opened my mouth, jokingly said, "Okay, you can leave now!" whilst pointing at it.

On another occasion, I took my mom to the emergency room of a private hospital and was wearing one of the Seminoles t-shirts. The responding doctor looked at the shirt and jokingly said to me, "I'll help this lady here (pointing at my mom) but you (pointing at me), no, this is Canes country!" Never mind, I'm thinking, he didn't know she has most of the Seminoles clothing line at home.

Then, the other day, a Hurricanes supporter corned my mom in the frozen food section of the supermarket, looked and pointed at the Seminoles shirt and smirked "Are you from out of town!" She sheepishly said no. The person then proceeded to humorously tell her how the Canes are going to win and why FSU won't.

And the moral of the story is...don't play with Miami Hurricanes fans. Leave them alone, Lebron. Whatever they tell you, just nod in agreement and smile (LOL).

CORAL GABLES, Fla. — LeBron James didn't change all his teams this summer. James posted on his Twitter feed Thursday that he's considering going to Columbus, Ohio, on Sept. 11 to see the matchup between No. 2 Ohio State — his longtime team of choice — and No. 13 Miami.

And no, the former Cleveland Cavaliers star isn't rooting for the Hurricanes. The NBA's two-time reigning MVP wrote, "O-State will prevail for sure. Will be exciting!" ...
