Scandal plagued English football star, John Terry, has been replaced as captain of the national team, by Rio Ferdinand, who becomes the first black man to attain the post (Dude, they Obama-ed you, congrats!).

Manager, Fabio Capello, made the decision recently, amidst terrible stories of him committing adultery and paying his mistress, a former teammate's fiancée, to have an abortion.

The press has been unrelenting, as footballers are often the most famous people in England and other parts of the world, hence public interest in their rise or demise blankets the news.

Vanessa Perroncell, a cocktail waitress, is in the center of the storm, for sleeping with a number of football players. So far, she has made roughly $500,000 for selling her story, while John Terry has lost that much and more in endorsement deals.

The real victims in this tragedy are Terry's wife and children, who flew out to Dubai to escape the sadness of the scandal that has dominated the British press and run in papers all over the world.

After all is said and done, Terry needs to apologize to his wife and try to make his family work, as that is more important than football. This was a tough lesson to learn, but he cannot let it destroy him. He should seek God's forgiveness, as does Ms. Perroncell.
