Rick Perry Pledges To Protect America From Obama's 'War On Religion' In New Ad (Video)

Presidential candidate, Rick Perry, has taken President Obama to task again in his newest ad. Texas governor Perry, promises to protect America from Obama's "war on religion." President Obama has done a number of things that deeply offended Christians, namely his attack on the faith, marriage and more recently, publicly chastising the U.S. Congress for a simple, but poignant measure to reaffirm America's motto "In God we trust." President Obama is consistently showing opposition to the Christian faith, the largest religion in the world and one he used to get elected, then quickly turned his back on.

With the race for the White House heating up, politicians are making pleas to the church for votes. America's religious majority is the Christian faith. So often politicians play on the church's good nature in seeking office. However, as Christians, we must look past all the political rhetoric and earnestly look at the deeds of those seeking office.

Does the candidate's track record on matters of the faith, such as honoring marriage and human life, including the unborn but alive via pregnancy, square up to how God defines it in the Bible. If not, that is not someone that deserves your vote. No one is perfect, but at the end of the day, if people of the faith vote for those that oppose what we believe, said politician will go into office and enact laws and create policies that go against all we hold dear.

U.S. President Barack Obama has discreetly promoted Islam above all else during his presidency and in the run up to it. Evidence of this fact has surfaced in incidents regarding NASA, the US Defense flag being adorned with Muslim symbols, bowing to a Muslim head of state, blacking out the name of Jesus, denies America's Christianity, his wife's statements and a Freudian slip during an interview claiming his "Muslim faith." Islam is in everything he does in office, repeatedly surfacing as a reoccurring theme.

These events reveal where his true loyalty lies, what he is placing above everything else and the tenants upon which he is ruling America. Did America just elect its first Muslim President. Dude, is there something you want to tell us.

After a protracted legal battle, the words "under God" in the United States' Pledge of Allegiance, has been upheld as constitutional and permissible, in the face of a legal challenge from atheist, Michael Newdow. He also filed suit to have the U.S. motto "In God we trust" removed from American currency. That case has failed as well.

Hopefully one day, Mr. Newdow will come to see, understand and appreciate the love of God.

Court: 'Under God' is constitutional

Thursday, March 11, 2010 - (03-11) 17:32 PST SAN FRANCISCO -- The federal court that touched off a furor in 2002 by declaring the words "under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance to be an unconstitutional endorsement of religion took another look at the issue Thursday and said the phrase invokes patriotism, not religious faith.

The daily schoolroom ritual is not a prayer, but instead "a recognition of our founders' political philosophy that a power greater than the government gives the people their inalienable rights," said the Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco in a 2-1 ruling.

"Thus, the pledge is an endorsement of our form of government, not of religion or any particular sect."...

In a separate ruling, the same panel upheld the use of the national motto, "In God We Trust," on coins and currency. The language is patriotic and ceremonial, not religious, the court said...

Both suits were filed by Michael Newdow, a Sacramento atheist who has brought numerous challenges to government-sponsored religious invocations...
