Justin Bieber's 'Believe" Movie Bombs As Fans Stay Away In Droves

Maybe telling one's fans on Christmas Eve that one is quitting music for good is not a great idea. Just ask pop singer Justin Bieber. His new documentary movie "Believe" released this past week, bombed like it's nobody's business, just days after he announced his premature retirement at age 19.

Yesterday, Bieber announced he's not really retiring. As stated on the site two weeks ago, it was a sales gimmick (Is Justin Bieber Really Quitting Music) but it has backfired. However, Bieber truly is suffering from burnout and harassment from Hollywood cults (Senior Citizen Justin Bieber Again States That He Is Retiring). One thing's for sure, Bieber's new bad boy image is eroding his fan base.

Box Office: Bieber Doc 'Believe' Bombs, Most Fans a No Show 

1:27 PM PST 12/28/2013 - The film may only take in $4.5 million in its first five days, a fraction of what Justin Bieber's "Never Say Never" made and by far the worst showing among concert documentaries featuring the Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus and One Direction.


The performer's second concert documentary Believe is turning in a dismal performance at the Christmas box office, where it has earned only $3.1 million in its first three days. On Friday, it fell below $1 million to $790,000 for a 14th place finish.

Believe is now only expected to take in $4.5 million over the course of its five-day debut (Wednesday through Sunday), including a meek weekend haul of $2.2 million. Granted, the movie is said to have cost only $5 million to make, but Believe will do only a fraction of the business that Bieber's Never Say Never enjoyed in February 2011.

Never Say Never, opening to $29.5 million in North America, posted a lifetime domestic gross of $73 million, making it the most successful concert film of all time domestically. Most box office observers say Believe may only hit $10 million.

Believe is badly trailing similar concert documentaries. In August, One Direction: This Is Us debuted to $15.8 million on its way to earning $28.9 million (even that was considered something of a disappointment)...
Still, there's no denying that many of Bieber's fans are staying away. Rivals question why Open Road -- owned by giant exhibitors Regal and AMC -- decided to open Believe on Christmas, the most crowded time of the year.

Justin Bieber Will Not Be Charged For Paparazzo Beat Down

 

Justin Bieber will not be charged for beating down a paparazzi he attacked for blocking his vehicle, in an attempt to take pictures of the 18-year-old singer and his girlfriend, Selena Gomez. The case was sent to the district attorney, who has decided not to pursue charges against the teen. In future, Bieber should not resort to violence, opting to call police for assistance, because things could have gone very differently and it is unlawful to physically assault others.

Bieber has been having a bumpy year, with repeated driving infraction and citations from police. His current CD "Believe" has not matched the sales of it's predecessor, his debut album "My World" which has placed a significant amount of pressure on him in the industry.

Bieber's concert tour has been plagued by a ticket scalping scandal and sales declines. His love life also took a chaotic turn, as he publicly broke up with Gomez and began dating beautiful Victoria Secret model Barbara Palvin. Bieber has been attempting to bed the beauty, which enraged Gomez. The couple continue to quarrel with each other, but have been spotted together since their breakup.

A tour bus carrying pop star Justin Bieber broke down in a little town in North Dakota called Manvel. Locals were courteous to Bieber and helped him get his bus going again and back on the road. Bieber in currently on tour in support of his "Believe" CD, which has not performed as well as his debut in the sales department.

Meanwhile, in a story that the Judiciary Report broke first a month ago, tongues have been for the past week about how close Bieber has been getting to his opening act, Carly Rae Jepsen, whilst on stage, especially in the absence of girlfriend Selena Gomez. Teen pop singer, Justin Bieber, has been getting himself into very adult situations this year, from drinking to speeding on public highways and getting pulled over by the police. Some believe it is Bieber's way of trying to toughen up his bubblegum image. 

But has it worked? No. Bieber's audience remains teen and preteen girl, as women on the whole still view him as a child and most males do not buy his music. Publicized reports also indicate Bieber's sales have gone down with his new CD "Believe."

Justin Bieber's "All Around The World" NBC special pulled poor numbers, indicating his fan base may be suffering from "Belieber" fatigue. "All Around The World" was aired to promote Bieber's new album "Believe" which is headed for number one on the Billboard charts next week. "Believe" will debut with estimated sales of 400,000 copies sold for the week.

Bieber hopes to get into acting in motion pictures, after his television debut on the show "CSI" which featured the singer getting lit up like a Christmas tree in a hail of bullets. In the mean time, Bieber remains on an international tour.

Justin Bieber's young fans have bought enough copies of his new CD "Believe" for it to debut at #1 on the Billboard charts next week. Music critics aren't impressed with the album, but his fan base is, giving him the sales boost he needs to nab the top spot.

His record label and its subsidiary are pulling out all the stops to get Bieber big sales, but there is a concern his voice has changed and the material on his new album is not as good as the first one.

So many of Bieber's admirers are pretty and they make no bones about the fact they would love to date him. This is difficult for Gomez and even through time apart for work, she is still holding on to him. The question is for how long.

On April 25, 2012 the Judiciary Report published the article "If Justin Bieber Broke Up With Selena Gomez Would It Improve The Sales Of His Sophomore CD." On May 17, 2012, Bieber sent Gomez a tweet on Twitter leading many to believe they had broken up. 

A few days ago Bieber wrote on Twitter, "Thank you for the time i had with you, but i have to move on now..." The aforementioned statement lead many to wonder exactly what the young singer meant and if he had truly broken things off with Gomez. Then again, was this to help his album sales for his forthcoming album "Believe" slated for release shortly.
