Slager framed Scott, a father of four, stating he stole his taser when no such thing happened. Little did Officer Slager know someone was filming the murder from a distance, refuting all his claims of theft. The footage of the execution and frame up filmed by a private citizen was sent to the New York Times. The famous newspaper released the footage to the public, resulting in the officer's arrest.
This incident is another sad reminder of the racism that is plaguing America. As the Judiciary Report stated in a past article, black lives don't matter to some in law enforcement. No one deserves to be executed over a traffic stop. This was outright murder. The video clearly shows the victim Scott was not the aggressor. He was fleeing for his life and for good reason. Officer Slager is a murderer, not a police officer and deserves life in prison without the possibility of parole.
