13-year old Jahi McMath, who was declared brain dead
after a tonsillectomy went wrong, is said to be showing signs of
life that contradict initial findings. Two videos were released
showing Jahi moving her arm and leg upon request. Some have tried to
attribute it to involuntary spinal spasms and convulsions.

However, a recent MRI conducted in September 2014,
also supports claims she is responsive as the, "Relative integrity
of the cerebral cortex no doubt underlies her ability to understand
language and to make voluntary motor responses." It is also
being stated Jahi is regularly menstruating. Jahi has definitely
defied the odds.
