Mitt Romney Leading President Barack Obama And Newt Gingrich In Swing State Polls

According to national polls, Republican candidate, Mitt Romney is leading incumbent, President Barack Obama, in swing states that often determine the outcome of the U.S. election. This pattern has held for the past few months, causing Obama backers consternation.

President Obama has been unable to counter Romney’s rise in the polls, which spells bad news for the incumbent’s campaign. Romney doesn’t have the disadvantage of a very bad economy under his belt, as baggage encumbering him in the presidential race for the White House.
