Movie Review - The Tourist

Title: The Tourist

Year Of Release: 2010

Review Date: May 31, 2011

Rating: PG-13

Running time: 98 minutes

Box Office Gross: $292,902,012

Site Rating: 3 out of 10 stars

"The Tourist" starring Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp, is a film about a spy spooling a tourist into her lies and he willingly going after her. Spoiler Alert: However, the tourist is not what he appears to be on the surface, in his quest to follow her. The film was somewhat entertaining and amusing in part, but bland and unadventurous.

Depp and Jolie did not have a significant amount of chemistry on film, despite rumors she was trying to sleep with him, much to his girlfriend’s anger. Their onscreen chemistry was passable, but not spectacular.

Jolie had more onscreen chemistry with Brad Pitt in the 2005 film "Mr. And Mrs. Smith" but that was because she was actually having sex with him, whilst he was still married to actress, Jennifer Aniston. Jolie was grinning in that movie something awful and shortly after, the world found out exactly why. She had unethically destroyed his marriage of five years and was pregnant with his child.

Movie Review - Never Say Never

Title: Never Say Never

Year Of Release: 2011

Review Date: May 31, 2011

Rating: PG

Running time: 105 minutes

Box Office Gross: $98,111,669

Site Rating: 5 out of 10 stars

"Never Say Never" is the bio documentary of 17-year-old Canadian sensation Justin Bieber. The film includes footage of Bieber as a child (no, younger than he is now) and charts his rise to fame that literally happened in the space of one year.

The childhood footage of Bieber is absolutely adorable. He was a beautiful baby and sweet toddler. The documentary features guest appearances by Usher, Miley Cyrus and Sean Kingston, in the lead up to Bieber‘s sold out concert at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

In watching Bieber, one can’t help but be concerned he will fall into the pitfalls of fame, such as promiscuous sex, drugs, alcohol and cults, which are ever present in Hollywood. However, if he stays true to his small town roots and keeps his feet rooted in the faith, he will not go astray. Anything less and Hollywood will gobble him up and destroy him, as it has done to so many child stars before him.

Movie Review - Little Fockers

Title: Little Fockers

Year Of Release: 2010

Review Date: May 31, 2011

Rating: PG-13

Running time: 98 minutes

Box Office Gross: $309,538,600

Site Rating: 1 out of 10 stars

"Little Fockers" is the crude, vulgar, gross out comedy starring Robert Deniro and Ben Stiller, as a father and son-in-law, fighting for control of their family. "Little Fockers" is the sequel to the film "Meet The Fockers" and introduces the youngest and newest members of the sanity challenged family.

"Little Fockers" has its funny moments, but is grossly inappropriate for a film with children among its stars. Speaking of gross, as I’ve used variants of the word three times already, said brand of humor involving bodily fluids is not cute. It is stomach turning and could have been left out of the film. Uncle Jack’s bathroom incident could have been left on the cutting floor as well, in light of the kid factor in the film.

In Support Of Christians In The Middle East

Gizah Pyramids In Egypt

Christians in the Middle East, have come under attack by some, not all, Muslims in the region, who are engaging in religious discrimination. The religious persecution in the Middle East is manifesting itself in the form of violence against Christians, which is completely unacceptable. People should have the right to practice their faith without fear of persecution or violence.

President Obama has pledged $3 billion dollars in U.S. taxpayer money to the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, while attacks against Christians continue unabated. I for one do not want my tax money given to those that would harass, persecute and engage in violence against Christians. I am all for democracy in Egypt and celebrate with the nation in its victories, but the government must show fairness and tolerance for Egyptian Christians and Jews.

U.S. President Barack Obama

If U.S. tax dollars are to be given in such great number and during an unprecedented financial crisis in America, it should be to provide food, clothing and shelter to Egypt's poor. Not to an organization, the Muslim Brotherhood, who "supports terrorism" according to the FBI.

If the violence against Middle Eastern Christians does not desist, the West needs to reconsider the financial aide to offending governments and provide asylum to those being persecuted based on their religion with the possibility of death.
