Obama Not Concerned With Poll Numbers

U.S. President Barack Obama held a town hall styled meeting today in Ohio's Lorain County, defending his position on a number of issues that have earned him very poor marks in the national polls. The President's poll numbers continue to plummet.

Obama stated there is transparency in his government, but at the time of this writing, it does not appear so. Opening up White House visitor logs to the public, whilst your foot soldiers up and down Pennsylvania Ave engage in egregious violations of the Constitution, they poorly attempt to cover up, is not transparency. Never will be.

Obama's Department of Justice, headed up by Eric Holder and his FBI, misled by Robert S. Mueller, are crookedly circumventing the U.S. Constitution on a daily basis and hiding items from the American people. That is not transparency.

Obama also continues to push his health care bill that Scott Brown's Massachusetts win destroyed. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi finally admitted the Democrats, led by Obama, do not have enough votes to push through the President's health care bill in its current state, due to the loss that occurred in Massachusetts.

What's apparent is many Americans, all over the internet, did not like many facets of the health care bill and posted on many websites' feedback sections and forums in this regard. They should be listened to, as they are the Electorate.

Speaking of that, it is not wise to ignore the polls. Falling poll numbers mean public dissatisfaction is growing and spreading. So, unless you don't want a second term in office, you need to start paying attention to those poll numbers and what's behind them.

Obama, live and 'fighting' from Ohio

In a particularly emotional moment, Obama said he was not concerned about poll numbers. His job approval rating is hovering around 50 percent, down from about 70 percent when he took office.

"This is not about me. It's you. I didn't take up this issue to boost my poll numbers. You know the way to boost your poll numbers is not do anything. That's how you do it. You don't offend anybody. I'd have real high poll numbers. All of Washington would be saying, what a genius," he said.

Obama, in what sounded like an admission that he had become detached from everyday Americans, said it was a "little confining" living in the protective bubble of the White House.

"I can't just walk around and visit people like I used to. I can't just go to the barber shop or sit at a diner," he said...

Unicef Says 15 Kids Snatched from Hospitals in Haiti

GENEVA – At least 15 children have disappeared from Haiti’s hospitals since the Jan. 12 earthquake that devastated the Caribbean nation, the United Nations Children’s Fund said Friday.

“We have documented around 15 cases of children disappearing from hospitals and not with their own family at the time,” Unicef adviser Jean-Luc Legrand said in Geneva...

Haiti earthquake: aid agencies fear child trafficking

Amid the chaos and destruction, aid agencies fear children missing from hospital may have been stolen by child trafficking gangs.

Aid agencies continued to warn against adopting children from Haiti today, amid unconfirmed reports that a number of children who had gone missing from hospitals in the devastated country may have been trafficked.

An adviser for Unicef told reporters that about 15 children had disappeared from hospitals, presumed taken...

Bethany Christian Services, a US adoption agency, said it had received more than 1,000 requests for adoption applications, while the Joint Council on International Children's Services, a US advocacy organisation, said it had received 150 enquiries about Haitian adoption in three days, compared with 10 a month normally...

Lawyer: Gitmo Detainees Tortured & Murdered - They Did Not Commit Suicide

According to lawyer, Scott Horton, who is handling the wrongful death case of three Gitmo detainees, thought to have committed suicide, they were in fact tortured and murdered, contrary to what was previously reported.

Horton stated the three detainees were placed in "Camp No" at the U.S. prison, Guantanamo Bay in Cuba, tortured, then suffocated to death. The subsequent inquests have revealed foul play, ruling out the suicide story the government released. That does not look good.

FBI Has Computer Equipment But No Hard Drive

Today, on its website, the FBI has once again bragged that is has "cutting edge" technology via "sleeping computers" that calculate crime related data, while analysts are away on vacation.

All good and fine, but at the end of the day, what good is it to have said equipment, yet fail to interpret simple intelligence data you had in your possession that could have prevented the September 11th terrorist attacks, the Fort Hood massacre and the Detroit Christmas Day bombing attempt, which was diffused by a civilian passenger on vacation.

The agency has an annual $8 billion dollar budget...and no real results, mostly death and failure, paid for in blood by innocent civilians and 13 Army personnel.

Apparently "Romy and Michele" aren't the only ones that lied about Post-Its. Based on a report released today, the FBI didn't even bother to use "Exigent Letters" in some cases when breaking the law, in obtaining Americans' phone records they weren't entitled to view. They used Post-Its.

Like, the FBI loves Post-Its, for sure!

It's amazing that violating the privacy of many meant as little to them as a Post-It. This is something you'd expect from a small government agency with no computer printer.

January 20th, 2010 - Today, the DOJ's Office of the Inspector General issued a long awaited report on the FBI's use of 'exigent letters' to obtain phone records. While the report has many interesting and shocking revelations, three issues jumped out at us: Post-it note process; a secret new legal theory; and the need for accountability for the telecoms.

Post-it notes. Seriously.

While we had known since 2007 that the FBI improperly sought phone records by falsely asserting emergency circumstances, the report shows the situation inside the FBI's Communications Analysis Unit (CAU) degenerated even further, sometimes replacing legal process with sticky notes...

We urge Congress to investigate both the FBI and telecoms, including asking the hard questions to AT&T and Verizon about their complicity in an illegal program to obtain phone records with post-it notes.
