More reports have surfaced of survivors being extracted from the rubble in Haiti, after a 7.0 earthquake hit the island. For example, 7 days after the quake, a 74-year-old woman was pulled from the rubble of a collapsed building and is being treated for her injuries. She is expected to recover. That's wonderful. People should not give up hope. Nations also need to keep the aid coming to Haiti to help them get back on their feet.
The Democratic Party in the United States is vowing to press on with President Barack Obama's health care bill. This is in spite of the massive setback they sustained yesterday, when Republican challenger, Scott Brown, scored a decisive victory in Massachusetts, a state that has been a Democratic stronghold for 50-years, due to the late senator, Ted Kennedy and his family.

The seat the Republicans have now acquired via Brown's win, greatly hampers the Democrats ability to push through legislation without the input of their counterparts across the political aisle. In light of the fact most Republicans vehemently oppose Obama's health care bill, the Democrats have their work cut out for them.
The couple that gatecrashed U.S. President Barack Obama's first dinner, the Salahi's, made an uncomfortable and haughty appearance in Congress today, supposedly to answer questions by members of the nation's legislative body.
Regrettably, the troublesome duo failed to answer any questions, by invoking their 5th Amendment Constitutional right, to prevent self-incrimination. Translation: we're not saying squat cause we don't want to go to prison.
They need to own up to what they did and accept the consequences. It is better to come clean of what transpired, apologize and move on.
White House gatecrashers keep quiet in Congress
WASHINGTON - A US couple who crashed President Barack Obama's first state dinner, leaving the White House red-faced, refused on Wednesday to answer a Congressional committee's questions about the incident.
"On the advice of my counsel, I respectfully assert my right to remain silent and decline to answer your question," Tareq Salahi repeatedly told the committee, invoking his constitutional rights against self-incrimination.
His wife Michaele did the same in the hearing before the House of Representatives Homeland Security Committee. The couple refused to take questions from reporters…
"Are you here today, Mr. Salahi? Are you here right now? You've got to get an answer from your attorney on that?," Pascrell mocked…

The U.S. Inspector General confirmed today in his 306 page report, the FBI has broken the law in illegally collecting telephone records in a manner not allowed via existing tools, such as "exigent letters" by inventing fake emergencies that did not exist.
The FBI lied today stating they violated the privacy of many innocent Americans to prevent acts of terrorism, but as the world knows, Fort Hood happened, as did the attempted bombing of a Christmas Day NWA flight in Detroit, which left a few passengers with second and third degree burns. The only thing the FBI has prevented is people from having privacy.
FBI Invoked ‘Emergencies’ To Gather U.S. Phone Records
According to the Post, among those who raised concerns internally was FBI Special Agent Bassem Youssef, supervisor of the communications analysis unit that dealt with the records. Youssef brought the matter to the attention of his superiors in 2005, after he received complaints from phone companies about the FBI’s failure to provide documentation showing the searches were legal, the newspaper said.
Youssef earlier had “fallen out of favor with FBI management” because he filed a whistleblower claim alleging he had been denied promotion and retaliated against because of his ethnicity, the Post reported.

It is apparent to anyone with basic common sense the FBI is the U.S. Congress' Frankenstein they have created, but cannot control. In congressional hearing after hearing, the crooked law enforcement agency that has thoroughly violated the privacy and rights of the American people and foreigners as well, received what amounts to a slap on the wrist. Then, the FBI goes right back to serious misconduct that tramples the U.S. Constitution.
It has become a real joke that is undermining Congress' authority and name in the nation and the world. The FBI is supposed to answer to Congress, but it is a renegade, rogue agency, bilking the taxpayers for exorbitant funding, but at crunch time they routinely fail and people die or end up injured.

Democrats blast FBI for improperly obtaining phone records
Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.) ripped the FBI Wednesday after a report detailed that the bureau collected thousands of American phone records without proper authorization.
The 306-page report by the Justice Department inspector general discloses that the FBI went through the phone records without the usual “exigent letters and other informal requests” to service providers.
"This was not a matter of technical violations," Leahy said during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing. "This was authorized at high levels within the FBI and continued for years."
Leahy said no one is above the law — not even senators.
“If one of us did something like this, we’d have to answer to it," he said. “There has to be accountability for what happened here.” ...
Author and historian, Webster Tarpley, has called for the resignation or firing of corrupt FBI Director, Robert S. Mueller, citing an pattern of ongoing serious misconduct. Tarpley stated he does not believe Obama will fire him.

Dr. Ryan, the plastic surgeon for reality TV star, Heidi Montag, has stated he will not do any further cosmetic procedures on the 23-year-old, due to the terrible public backlash at her appearance, after undergoing 10 ops in one day.
Montag also revealed, the massive number of procedures she underwent in one surgery, depressed her respiratory system, dropping her breathing to 5 breaths per minute. In short, she could have died.

The All-American Basketball Alliance has caused tremendous offense in the United States, by proclaiming it is only accepting men born in America to Caucasian parents.
Just because the NBA is stocked with black men, holding a white minority, doesn't mean such an extraordinarily offensive step is necessary.
