Abortion is a sticking point in the current U.S. Health Care bill. It is unconscionable to ask all Americans to pay a monthly fee for abortion services. It simply is not right, as it goes against millions of people's convictions. It's stunning and appalling that such a measure even made it into the bill, which so brazenly goes against scores of people's religious beliefs. That is literally asking people to pay money for the murder of little, unborn, but not unalive babies.
Abortion looms as possible block to health bill
Dec 23, 5:49 PM (ET) - WASHINGTON (AP) - The way abortions are covered under health care reform is a major obstacle to finalizing the legislation, even though the House and Senate both agree that no federal money should be used.
The stumbling block is whether insurance plans that get federal money are completely barred from covering abortions, or whether they can cover it as long as they require customers to write separate checks for the procedure using their own money.
Why does that matter? Because the House and Senate solved the dispute in different ways, neither of which makes everyone happy, and now they have to find a further compromise...

Someone beat the smirk off Madoff's face
Incarcerated ponzi schemer, Bernard Madoff, received an early Christmas gift in prison - a beat down that left him with broken ribs and a punctured lung. Good times. Madoff also has more bruises than Rihanna, which makes me wonder if Chris Brown was somehow involved (kidding).

Mark Carter
Police officer (Constable), Mark Carter, a poster boy for gay rights and former Mr. Gay UK, which is like Mr. Universe for gays, was arrested for raping a man. Apparently he wasn't working for the Met Police, but the booty police, surveying booties instead of crime scenes.

Hmm I wonder if Mark Carter is related to Shawn Carter A/K/A Jay-Z. After all, the both like putting their hands on people without permission (Jay-Z is a woman beater). No disrespect intended to the other Carters that share a last name with them.

A policeman and former Mr Gay UK winner has been arrested on suspicion of carrying out a serious sexual offence.
Thursday, 24 December 2009 - Pc Mark Carter, 27, has been suspended from his job with West Yorkshire Police while his colleagues investigate the alleged incident in Leeds...
A police spokesman said: "Inquiries are ongoing and the man has since been bailed pending further inquiries."

Anwar al-Awlaki
An air strike in Yemen has reportedly killed 30 Al Qaeda members, including troublemaking imam, Anwar al-Awlaki, who influenced some of the September 11th bombers and Fort Hood shooter, Nidal Malik Hasan.
Terrorism is not of Christ and many have been led astray, in the misguided and erroneous belief suicide bombings will lead to paradise. It does not. These acts of terror need to desist, as Christ, the only true Savior, does not approve.
Airstrike in Yemen Targets Outspoken Radicals
December 24, 2009, 1:48 pm - Yemeni fighter jets carried out an airstrike targeting “a meeting of senior Al Qaeda operatives” on Thursday in southeastern Yemen, according to the country’s government.
On Wednesday Al Jazeera published an interview with Anwar al-Awlaki, a Yemeni-American cleric who corresponded with Maj. Nidal Hassan before the shooting rampage at Fort Hood. On Wednesday Al Jazeera published an interview with Anwar al-Awlaki, a Yemeni-American cleric who corresponded with Maj. Nidal Hassan before the shooting rampage at Fort Hood.
In a statement on the raid sent to reporters from Yemen’s embassy in Washington, the government said that Anwar al-Awlaki, an American-born radical cleric in Yemen who counseled the suspected Fort Hood gunman, was among those “presumed to be at the site” of the predawn raid...

Why Do Airstrikes in Afghanistan Keep Killing Exactly 30 People?
December 11, 2009 - On Monday, the anonymous blogger Security Crank noticed something interesting: all the U.S. and NATO airstrikes in Afghanistan seemingly kill exactly 30 people every time. How can that be?
Security Crank documented no less than 12 occasions in which news reports, relying on field commanders' estimates, noted that exactly 30 suspected Taliban were killed in airstrikes and, occasionally, artillery attacks. He said:
But the much more important point remains: how could we possibly have any idea how the war is going, here or anywhere else, when the bad guys seem only to die in groups of 30? The sheer ubiquity of that number in fatality and casualty counts is astounding, to the point where I don’t even pay attention to a story anymore when they use that magic number 30. It is an indicator either of ignorance or deliberate spin… but no matter the case, whenever you see the number 30 used in reference to the Taliban, you should probably close the tab and move onto something else, because you just won’t get a good sense of what happened there...

Nidal Malik Hasan
File this one under more clues the FBI inexplicably did not perceive as a threat. It has been revealed in the press, Fort Hood shooter, Nidal Malik Hasan, inquired in an email about "killing Americans" prior to the shooting at the aforementioned base, which claimed 13 lives and wounded 38.
Yet the FBI, run by Barney Fife Robert S. Mueller, had the emails in their possession since December 2008, but amazingly did not interpret all these warning signs as a threat.

Cleric says alleged Fort Hood shooter inquired whether it would be ‘lawful’
A radical Muslim cleric claims Army psychiatrist Maj. Nidal Hasan asked him about killing American soldiers nearly a year before Hasan allegedly shot to death 13 fellow soldiers at Fort Hood.
In an interview Wednesday with the Arabic-language news network Al-Jazeera, Anwar al-Awlaki, considered a key recruiter for al-Qaida, said Hasan asked him in a December 2008 e-mail "whether killing American soldiers and officers is lawful or not" under Islamic law.
In the interview, Al-Awlaki then appears to taunt U.S. intelligence and security, saying, "I wonder where were the American security forces that one day claimed they can read the numbers of any license plate, anywhere in the world, from space."...
