Tensions continue to run high in the Sonia Sotomayor hearings and judiciary review, with Republican stalwarts, such as John McCain, opposing her nomination, as she is a liberal who believes in abortion and is against gun rights.
However, it is believed, according to published reports, Sotomayor, currently holds enough votes from Democrats to gain the appointment to the Supreme Court.
Former U.S. President, Bill “Bubba” Clinton, has traveled to North Korea on a diplomatic mission, to obtain the release of two pretty journalists, arrested for spying, who face 12 years in prison.

Doctor shopping, much like judge shopping is dangerous and sometimes illegal. Michael Jackson, like a number of other celebrities in Hollywood, went doctor shopping, seeking physicians that would issue the prescriptions they want and in excessive quantities.
This practice, sadly, killed the pop star. Prescription meds abuse in Hollywood runs rampant and hopefully, this case will be a turning point, at least for the government, to better regulate the industry in this trouble spot.

In a statement to RadarOnline.com, the attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, explained why Klein feels compelled to be involved.
"At 9:15 AM today, August 3, 2009, we appeared on behalf of Dr. Arnold Klein before Judge Mitchell Beckloff in Los Angeles County Superior Court, Probate Department 5, to ask the Court to allow Dr. Klein to have an opportunity to present evidence to the Court for its consideration in fashioning an appropriate guardianship order with specific protection and supervision in areas relating to Paris Katherine and Prince Michael's upbringing that were of particular concern to Michael.
Dr. Klein is not objecting to Katherine Jackson being the guardian nominee, but was acting on promises he made to Michael with respect to assuring the long term health and stability of the children and their ability to enjoy as normal of a life out of the spotlight as could be reasonably possible.
"Dr. Klein has always had a special relationship with Paris Katherine and Prince Michael, loves and cares deeply for these children and is looking out for their best interest. Dr. Klein has been involved with the children in sharing holidays and other special events and wishes to have the ability to continue his involvement as a very close friend of their father and offers his guidance and protection forever."...
Klein's statement only deals with the older two - Prince Michael and Paris - which is particularly interesting given the many rumors that have him as their biological father...

I think at this point, it is inevitable that taxes need to be raised on the rich. America is so heavily in debt, there really is no other way to pay for it. Raising taxes is a common practice in nations all over the world, when a country becomes too debt laden.
The government needs to return to sensible financial practices, abandoning the illogical, nonsensical madness of the George W. Bush years, which he hid until he could flee office. Since his departure, a wave of data has surfaced, illustrating the 2008 financial crisis was far worse than people imagined.
George W. Bush based too much of America's financial plan on criminal activity, such as an illegal war to steal oil in Iraq, not banking on the fact it could all go awry, which is did.
He further wrongfully believed, allowing criminals like Madoff, Stanford and several dozen other fraudsters, to continue their highly dangerous financial escapades, rather than safely investing citizens' money, was the way to go.
Such unsound financial practices never worked anywhere in this world and it damaged the good America already had going for it, where upstanding companies were unfairly made to shoulder terrible losses, courtesy of a handful of useless corporate entities robbing people.
To honestly make money, one must use clean capital, make products and or render services that actually suit public interests, spurring creativity, production, job growth and well earned interest. Not unlawfully take other people's assets and hope no one finds out and justice eludes you.

Although output in the U.S. economy will begin to turn positive in the second half of this year, job growth will take longer, U.S. President Barack Obama's top economic officials told Sunday morning talk shows.
"Historically, increased hiring typically lags increases in output, so it's going to take time before you see it ... in the employment statistics," White House economic adviser Lawrence Summers told NBC's "Meet the Press."
The New York Times reported on Sunday that up to 1.5 million Americans will exhaust their unemployment benefits in coming months, pushing more into home foreclosures and destitution...

From auto workers in Detroit too old for retraining, to Hispanic migrants in Arizona with no homes to build, to new college graduates competing with experienced workers for scarce jobs, more and more people are facing long-lasting unemployment.
Since the recession began in December 2007, the jobless rate has climbed 4.6 percentage points to 9.5 percent, the biggest jump since the Great Depression. Worse, the mean duration of unemployment is now almost 6 months, the highest on record.

"I offered to get his kids into Harvard if he doesn't arrest me anymore," Gates said...
Gates was charged with disorderly conduct for allegedly yelling at the officer and protesting his actions. But Gates, who is black, claimed he never raised his voice and accused Crowley of racial profiling. Charges against the professor were later dropped.
The tone at the book fair turned more serious when someone asked Gates how the arrest has affected him. "I'm still trying to figure that out and processing it. It was stressful. I was worried about my daughters."
Fortunately, he said, the press was not camped out at his family home like they were at the Cambridge residence, which is owned by the university. He admitted to receiving bomb threats and deaths threats and said the university is encouraging him to move. "I haven't been back to the Cambridge house since I got arrested so I have to make that decision."
He also said he has had to change his phone numbers and close his public e-mail account. "I received thousands of fan letters but some of the e-mails were from crazy wacko people who wrote 'You should die,' 'You're a racist" ...

Press releases were also published claiming the tour a sellout, when anyone could could to Ticketmaster and book tickets. The real sell out here is Beyonce and family, for pimping themselves out for fame, only for it to turn on them in the end.

We paid $1000 each for our front row tickets, and not only did she not perform hardly any songs from her Sasha Fierce album, including "diva" and "ego" she only changed wardrobe twice.
